Books that celebrate the diversity of LGBT adoptive families. The aim of Sparklypoo Publications is to create colourful, fun children's books that reflect just how normal different types of families really are.
About Carolyn
Carolyn began her writing career at Teacher Training college, writing for student publications and later educational magazines. She went on to teach in London for 20 years. Carolyn and her partner are adoptive Mums to two boys. Carolyn is a keen advocate of the rights and needs of adopted children and children within LGBT families.

Our fabulous award winning entertainers, Sharky & George will be keeping both children and adults busy… An afternoon with fun and excitement jam packed into ever minute. Parachute games to musical statues, colouring to word games every moment will be occupied.
ABOUT OUT WITH THE FAMILY
Out With The Family is a series of events aimed at LGBT families and straight allies to aid networking of gay parents and children of same-sex parents. They were founded after working closely with the LGBT parenting community, noticing that there was simply no place for LGBT parents and their straight allies to come together with their families. Their aim is to create a safe and inclusive space where children of LGBT parents can play and engage with others in similar circumstances and not be the odd one out – as so many often are at school and in social situations. Parents also have the opportunity to discuss issues in a safe and supportive environment.
